Lambeth, Camden, Notting Hill, Windsor, St Albans and Brighton).
A Heritage Statement was prepared to support the amalgamation of 4 bedsits on the top floor of 42 Hornton Street to create one self-contained studio and associated internal changes. Understanding of the significance of the existing in relation to the proposed showed Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea change can be done in a way that minimises the impact on historic fabric and floor plan whilst realising the benefits of improved accommodation.
Heritage assessments supported the refurbishment at various levels of the Albany apartments (pic, adjacent to the Royal Academy), the Granary and Bakery (Royal Clarence Yard, Portsmouth), a replacement rear extension and new mews building (Earls Court), the conversion of a Victorian shop to flats (Bloomsbury) and the conversion of a barn to health centre in Beaconsfield.
Under pressure to improve its internal usage as a medical centre the consultancy ensured the architectural quality of the Georgian frontage on the High Street (Epsom) was untouched and features identified as important to the listed building retained, including fireplaces, timber beams and windows.
